  • UCLA guard Charlisse Leger-Walker will miss the entire season while rehabbing her ACL, the program announced on Friday. Leger-Walker will use a medical redshirt and return to the Bruins for the 2025-26 season.

Charlisse Leger-Walker, a key player for UCLA's women's basketball team, will miss the entire 2024-25 season due to a torn ACL she sustained while playing for New Zealand's national team in February. The injury occurred during a game against Serbia in the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament. Leger-Walker, who transferred from Washington State, had been a significant contributor to UCLA, averaging 13.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game in her last season. She will focus on rehabilitation with the support of UCLA's medical staff, aiming to return for the 2025-26 season. Her absence is a substantial loss for the team, which is looking to build on its recent success, including a Sweet 16 appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
