  Frequent digital tech was found linked to slower cognitive decline in older adults, challenging the idea that screen time harms brain health.

A study from the University of Texas at Dallas has found that engaging with technology, specifically through the use of a brain training app called BrainHQ, can help reduce the risk of digital dementia among older adults. The research, published in the journal Frontiers in Aging Neuroscience, showed that participants who used the app for 12 weeks experienced significant improvements in cognitive functions such as memory, attention, and processing speed. Digital dementia, a term used to describe cognitive decline associated with over-reliance on digital devices, is a growing concern among the elderly population. The study suggests that targeted brain training exercises can serve as an effective intervention to mitigate the negative effects of technology on brain health.
